| damnn angelea has 4 cores on that crazy ass i7 and a gtx 465 -_____-;; no wonder his score is so god damn high. it was fun to watch the renderings and hear some voice overs. Low: 2516 Pointless to post high since my monitors don't go that high, but the final score was 667 hahaha... well I guess not as bad as 107 | |

| Originally I built this machine for Blade and Soul. After i finished it, i found out the game won't come out in the states anytime soon. Fail! Anyone else have a beastly machine that wants to post their score? | |

| [8000 and over] Extremely High Performance Easily capable of running the game on the highest settings. [5500–7999] Very High Performance Easily capable of running the game. Should perform exceptionally well, even at higher resolutions. [4500-5499] High Performance Easily capable of running the game. Should perform well, even at higher resolutions. [3000-4499] Fairly High Performance Capable of running the game on default settings. Consider switching to a higher resolution depending on performance. [2500-2999] Standard Performance Capable of running the game on default settings. [2000-2499] Slightly Low Performance Capable of running the game, but may experience some slowdown. Adjust settings to improve performance. [1500-1999] Low Performance Capable of running the game, but will experience considerable slowdown. Adjusting settings is unlikely to improve performance. [Under 1500] Insufficient Performance Does not meet specifications for running the game.

- Any idea for the cheap, but decent video card I can used for FF14?
pci-e 2.0 x16? if possible. single slot for ati always HD with the second digit being 6 or greater for nvidia gts or gtx with the second digit being 6 or greater. (these cards should be falling around the 512mb through 2.5gb range) those should be ranging around 100-150ish. So for example ati radeon HD 3870. If you want to go all out always go SLI or crossfire and make sure the card is a dual slot card because of the 2/4 GPUs. or you can always get two single slot cards and crossfire them etc. I couldn't recommend anything specific because I don't know what kind of motherboard you have. there are other things though that will affect the rendering of the benchmark like CPU RAM all of those things can be your bottleneck as well. for manufacturers I like PNY, EVGA, SAPPHIRE, and of course you can always get directly from ATI or Nvidia. just remember to make sure your motherboard and psu can handle the card you get PS reformatting doesn't really affect the performance of the benchmark. Fragmented harddrives and near to full harddrives do though. Just run the defragment utility. I believe windows 7 has a better defragmenting utility than vista's terrible one XD. PPS angelea might have a better suggestion method than mine. since he is rich and has lots of nice things XD

what 8 cores? I've never heard of such things. His i7 is probably 4 cores. I don't think it's extreme which is 6 unless there was actually an 8 core i7 released o.o

| lol benchmark says i have 8 cores Allow me to explain, i7 920 chip is a quad core with hyperthreading, there's a possibility FF14 actually supports hyperthreading, maybe. copy/paste from wikiHyper-threading works by duplicating certain sections of the processor—those that store the architectural state—but not duplicating the main execution resources. This allows a hyper-threading processor to appear as two "logical" processors to the host operating system, allowing the operating system to schedule two threads or processes simultaneously. If you go to your task manager, under performance tab, you will see the cpu usage. Mine shows 8 graphs, one for each core including HT. | |

| Kuro, I'll run some test/bench on my spare computer to give you a general idea of what kind of video card you will need tomorrow. we are aiming at the below? [2500-2999] Standard Performance Capable of running the game on default settings. My spare computer runs a Nvidia 8800 GTS, we'll compare that one to my current Nvidia 465 GTX. There's 2 generation difference, but i have an idea how a 280 GTX runs. So just wait till tomorrow for results Also, how much are you willing to spend? Takk, I can build top of the line computer if you can shell out the cash | |

| $100-200? at most for now and I may consider higher depending on my budget.
Q and Nam are the ones who want to build the computer.

| Thanks, also can I find these in stores like Frys Electronic or BestBuy? I do understand Bestbuy employers don't know shit expect what's popular. I prefer to just go out and get them rather then wait for the mail, unless they are fast deliveries.
Edit: Nvm, I'm just going to order it from Amazon 5-9 days free delivery. I guess about the same if I waste my gas driving to Fryz Electronic just to buy it. Beside, after working for Amazon before. I know how they package the items. So I can bitch at them if they package wrong and my video card is damage lols.
